About Us

KVAHC is a nonprofit, world class archaeological education and research organization.  We believe in enriching the lives of students and members of the public through participation in scientifically rigorous, ethical, education oriented archaeology.   We believe that a caring and compassionate commitment to archaeological resources benefits the cultural environment for us all.  Our research focus is South-Central Florida and our current excavation site is the Blueberry site (8HG678) which has been the focus of over 10 academic conference talks, juried publications in archaeological journals, and thanks to the owners (Anne and Charles Reynolds) has its artifact collection donated to and curated by the Florida Museum of Natural History.  Since 2010, Anne and Charles have donated over 5,000 artifacts (recovered by KVAHC) to the Florida Museum of Natural History.
